Sincona sale 76, lot 1463

This specimen was lot 1463 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 1,900 CHF (about US$2,306 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. 30 Kreuzer 1764, Prag. Vorzüglich-FDC. NGC UNC Details. Leicht gereinigt. (Austria, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, thirty kreuzer of 1764, Prague mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated, lightly cleaned.)"

This type was struck at the Prague mint 1758, 1763-65 for Maria Theresia and is rather scarcer than the Vienna mint issue (KM 1835). The convention thaler was 120 kreuzer, making this coin equal to a quarter thaler.
