This specimen was lot 31343 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Republic gold 20 Pesos 1874/2 Mo-B AU58 NGC, Mexico City mint. An attractive example for the designation, with much mint bloom and appealing surface quality. Much above average for the type and very popular in this quality. From The FoxLair Collection." This type was struck in Mexico City 1870-1905 and is the most available mint. Assayer M also exists for this date. All known specimens are overdated.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.
