Shown is an 1881Mo M five centavos, of a type struck 1868-81, 1886-97. This issue from Mexico City is common along with an 1881/0 overdate. Other mints include Hermosillo, Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, Alamos, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Culiacan, Oaxaca and Potosi. No silver five centavos were struck 1882-85.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Recorded Mintage: 180,000.
