This specimen was lot 39428 in Stack's Bowers Winter sale (Baltimore, November 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Real, 1856-PiMC. NGC MS-65. Two at this numerical grade, with none finer at NGC and PCGS. Virtually flawless with a bit of translucent tone in the reverse fields offering testament to its fully original status. Sharply struck with loads of flash." This issue from the Potosi mint is priced about double a common date (1853 or 1854).

The first specimen was lot 39428 in Stack's Bowers Winter sale (Baltimore, November 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Real, 1856-PiMC. NGC MS-65. Two at this numerical grade, with none finer at NGC and PCGS. Virtually flawless with a bit of translucent tone in the reverse fields offering testament to its fully original status. Sharply struck with loads of flash."
