This specimen was lot 73286 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 2 Mariengroschen, 1715-HH. Zellerfeld Mint; mm: crossed axes between HH. Georg Ludwig (George I of Great Britain). PCGS AU-55. Sporting a melange of colorful toning around the wildman, this elegant survivor exhibits very little in the way of handling and offers a great look. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1713-15 with the legend "FEIN SILB" on the obverse. There is also KM 84 without the legend and KM 83 with a leaping stallion reverse.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver.
