This specimen was lot 5688 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €320 (about US$ including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, FÜRSTENTUM, Georg I. Ludwig, 1698-1714. 6 Mariengroschen 1714, Clausthal. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar. Feine Patina, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Aus der Sammlung eines Ingenieurs. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 24, Osnabrück 1993, Nr. 1863. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, George Louis, 1698-1714, six mariengroschen of 1714, Clausthal mint. Scarce in this quality, choice example, fine patina, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1714-15 along with "wild men", St. Andrew and value reverses. Six mariengroschen = 1/6 thaler.
