Hannover 1713-HCB 1/3 thaler
This specimen was lot 5685 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €360 (about US$501 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, FÜRSTENTUM, Georg I. Ludwig, 1698-1714. 1/3 Taler 1713, Clausthal. RR Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung eines Ingenieurs. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 23, Osnabrück 1992, Nr. 2877. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg, George Louis, 1698-1714, one-third thaler of 1713, Clausthal mint. Very rare, handsome patina, extremely fine.)"
This one-third thaler or half gulden was struck 1712-15. It is listed in the SCWC as common. KM 66 also exists for this date.
