Hannover 1712-HH pfennig
This specimen was lot 5684 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €260 (about US$362 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, FÜRSTENTUM, Georg I. Ludwig, 1698-1714. Einseitiger Pfennig (Schüsselpfennig) 1712, Zellerfeld. Vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung eines Ingenieurs. Erworben von 1966 von H. Priesmeier. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, George Louis, 1698-1714, uniface penny of 1712, Zellerfeld mint. Extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1700-15. The SCWC doesn't give the alloy specification for this type but similar low value coins from Prussia were as low as 0.062 fine silver. The Clausthal mint struck billon pfennig with a leaping stallion design (KM 5).
