This specimen was lot 22587 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Calenberg-Hannover. 2/3 Taler, 1711-HB. Clausthal Mint. Georg Ludwig (George I of Great Britain). PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield. A handsomely toned and fairly lustrous specimen struck under the future king of Great Britain, Georg Ludwig. The only graded example of the date seen by PCGS." The two-thirds thaler or gulden was minted extensively in Hannover in several concurrent types. For 1711, we also see KM 48 and KM 68.
