This specimen was lot 2620 in Sincona sale 57 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 550 CHF (about US$655 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Herzogtum, Georg Ludwig (Georg I.), 1698-1727. 1/2 Taler 1714, Clausthal. Auf den Tod von Sophie von Pfalz-Simmern, Gemahlin von Ernst August. Vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (Germany, electorate of Hannover, George Louis, 1698-1727, half thaler of 1714, Clausthal mint, on the death of the elector's mother. Extremely fine, Nice toning.)"
This commemorative is accompanied by eighth (KM 93), quarter (KM 94) and single thalers (Dav-2060).
