Hannover 1715-HCB 2/3 thaler KM-100
This specimen was lot 2446 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$980 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Herzogtum. Georg Ludwig (Georg I.), 1698-1727. 2/3 Taler 1715, Clausthal. Mit dem Münzmeisterzeichen HCB. (Germany, electorate of Hannover, George Louis, 1698-1727, two-thirds thaler of 1715, Clausthal mint, with mintmaster's initials HCB. NGC MS65.)"
This type was struck steadily 1715-27 after George obtained the throne of England. Another gulden (KM 68) features the leaping stallion of Hannover.
