This specimen was lot 3666 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €16 (about US$22 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. Schilling 1754, E, Königsberg. Prägung für die Provinz Preußen. Mit PRVSS auf der Rückseite. Sehr schön. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, schilling of 1754, Königsberg mint, struck for the province of Prussia, with "PRVSS" in the reverse legend. Very fine.)"
The schilling accompanied the six groscher, three groscher and eighteen groscher for use in East Prussia and the neighboring parts of Poland. This type of 1752-56 was a continuation of an earlier type with mintmaster's initials "CS" (KM 223.1).
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 0.72 g, 0.62 fine silver, 15 mm diameter, this specimen 0,54 g.
