This specimen was lot 11299 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $306. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Peso, 1903-MoAM. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder." The type was struck 1898-1905 and 1908-09; this date is common. A very rare variety, 1903-MO MA, exists and is worth a substantial premium.
Recorded mintage: 22,396,000.
Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
