This specimen was lot 2829 in Ponterio sale 164 (New York, January 2012), where it sold for $264.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Mexico City. Peso, 1908-MoGV. Toned. NGC MS-64." This date is known from Mexico City only, the branch mints having closed after 1905. Assayer AM also exists for 1908 and is about the same rarity.
Recorded mintage: 7,575,000 (assayers AM and GV).
Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
