Sincona sale 91, lot 3533

This specimen was lot 3533 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$238 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Batzen 1810, St. Gallen. Fast FDC. Exemplar der Auktion UBS 55, Zürich, September 2002, Los 1485. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, batzen of 1810, St. Gall mint. About uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1808-17. Forty batzen made a thaler.

Recorded mintage: 259,000.

Specification: silver or billon, this specimen 2.63 g.
