Sincona sale 91, lot 3534

This specimen was lot 3534 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$238 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Halbbatzen 1810, St. Gallen. Gutes vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, half batzen of 1810, St. Gall mint. Good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1807, 1810-17. Forty batzen made a thaler. Another half batzen of 1810 stated the value as "1/2 SCHWEIZER BAZEN" (KM 104).

Recorded mintage: 290,000 including KM 104.
