Sincona sale 91, lot 3539

This specimen was lot 3539 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$159 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Halbbatzen 1811, St. Gallen. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, half batzen of 1811, St. Gall mint. Rare in this condition, About uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1807, 1810-17. Forty batzen made a thaler.

Recorded mintage: 349,000.
