This specimen was lot 3541 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$463 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Halbbatzen 1812, St. Gallen. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, half batzen of 1812, St. Gall mint. Rare in this condition, About uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1807, 1810-17. Forty batzen made a thaler.
Recorded mintage: 252,000.
