St. Gall 1813-K 5 batzen KM-111
This specimen was lot 3542 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 60 CHF (about US$79 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, 5 Batzen 1813, St. Gallen. Wappen mit Girlande. Geriffelter Rand mit kleinen Löchern. Sehr schön. Kleiner Schrötlingsfehler. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, five batzen of 1813, St. Gall mint. Obverse: arms with garlands, reeded edge with small holes. Very fine, Minor flan flaw.)"
This type was struck 1810-13. Another five batzen of 1813 (KM 113) had the arms adorned with laurel branches. Forty batzen made a thaler.
