Sincona sale 91, lot 3537

This specimen was lot 3537 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$212 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Batzen 1811, St. Gallen. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. Exemplar der Auktion UBS 55, Zürich, September 2002, Los 1488. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, batzen of 1811, St. Gall mint. Rare in this condition, About uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1808-17. Forty batzen made a thaler.

Recorded mintage: 319,000.
