This specimen was lot 3530 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 60 CHF (about US$79 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ St. Gallen, Halbbatzen 1809, St. Gallen. Wertangabe "1/2 SCHWEIZER BAZEN". Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of St. Gall, half batzen of 1809. St. Gall mint, value "1/2 SCHWEIZER BAZEN". Very fine.)"
This type was struck 1807-10. Forty batzen made a thaler. Another half batzen of 1810 stated the value as "1/2 BAZEN" (KM 103).
