This specimen was lot 5067 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$181 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Basel, Stadt und Kanton, Batzen 1810, Basel. Fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Basel, batzen of 1810, Basel mint. About Mint State.)"
This type was struck 1805-06 and 1809-10 while the canton was under Napoleonic domination. The 1810 is common. The last batzen was struck in 1826. Forty batzen made a thaler.
