Sincona sale 87, lot 4141

This specimen was lot 4141 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$539 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Solothurn, Batzen 1810, Solothurn. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Solothurn, batzen of 1810, Solothurn mint. Very rare in this condition, About uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1808-11. Forty batzen made a thaler.
