This specimen was lot 3043 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$381 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Basel, Stadt und Kanton, Rappen 1810, Basel. FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Basel, rappen of 1810, Basel mint. Uncirculated.)"
This type was struck in 1810 and 1818, with both dates being about equally represented. Forty batzen made a thaler and one hundred rappen made a franc, making one batzen equal to ten rappen.
