Sedwick Treasure auction 26, lot 61

This specimen was lot 61 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 26 (Winter Park, FL, November 2019), where it sold for $1,814.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Seville, Spain, cob 2 escudos, 1593 date right, assayer B below mintmark S and denomination II to left. Full and clear date (vertical) and S-II-B flanking full shield, the cross also full but slightly doubled, XF with contrasting toning and sediment." This type was struck at Seville with assayer B, 1591-97.
