This specimen was lot 2118 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN, Seville, cob 4 reales, Philip II, 1593 date to right, assayer B to left not visible. Lustrous AU with sharp, nearly complete shield and cross, bold 3 of date, plugged hole at 1 o'clock." Seville was a prolific mint, striking four reales by the hammer until 1651, after which there is a gap until 1689. Assayer B appears on four reales of 1591-1613.
