Regensburg 1645 1/9 thaler
This specimen was lot 3141 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,115 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FERDINAND III. 1/9 Reichstaler 1645, mit Titel Ferdinands III. Münzmeister Hans Siegmund Federer. Von allergrößter Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, kl. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, one ninth thaler of 1638, struck in the name of Ferdinand III. Extremely rare, handsome patina, small edge nick, extremely fine.)"
This type, worth ten kreuzer or one-sixth gulden, was struck 1638, 1641 and 1645-47.
