Künker sale 405, lot 3142

This specimen was lot 3142 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €170 (about US$223 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FERDINAND III. 1/9 Reichstaler 1648, mit Titel Ferdinands III. Münzmeister Hans Siegmund Federer. Von großer Seltenheit. Kl. Henkelspur, sehr schön. (city of Regensburg, one ninth thaler of 1648, in the name of Ferdinand III. Extremely rare, mount mark, very fine.)"

This type, worth ten kreuzer or one-sixth gulden, was struck 1648 only.
