Künker sale 405, lot 3125

This specimen was lot 3125 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,100 (about US$1,443 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FERDINAND III. 1/2 Reichstaler 1647, mit Titel Ferdinands III. Münzmeister Hans Siegmund Federer. RR Fast vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, half thaler of 1647, in the name of Ferdinand III. Very rare, about extremely fine.)"

This scarce type was struck 1647 and 1653-54.
