Künker sale 405, lot 3133

This specimen was lot 3133 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €320 (about US$420 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FERDINAND III. 1/4 Reichstaler 1645, mit Titel Ferdinands III. Münzmeister Hans Siegmund Federer. Von großer Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, Henkelspur, leicht justiert, sonst fast vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, quarter thaler of 1645, struck in the name of Ferdinand III. Extremely rare, hadsome patina, mount mark, light adjustment marks, otherwise about extremely fine.)"

This scarce type was struck 1638, 1641-42 and 1645-46.
