This specimen was lot 4126 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €150 (about US$209 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm IV. 1840-1861. 2 1/2 Silbergroschen 1856, A. Fast Stempelglanz. Erworben 1971. Der vorliegende Münztyp ab 1853 mit älterem Porträt. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William IV, 1840-61, 2½ silver groschen of 1856, about uncirculated. The type was modified in 1853 to show an older portrait.)"
This type was struck 1853-60 and all dates are common. The denomination was struck 1842-73. No branch mints struck this type.
