Prussia 1759-B 8 gute groschen
This specimen was lot 3776 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €400 (about US$557 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 8 Gute Groschen 1759, B, Breslau. Prägung während des Siebenjährigen Krieges. Kl. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, eight good groschen of 1759, Breslau mint, struck during the Seven Years War. Small planchet flaws, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1753-59, 1763. Tall and short busts were struck simultaneously in this period but not normally at the same mint at the same time. This wartime issue is rare.
