Shown is an 1825GaFS two reales, one of a type struck at the Guadalajara mint 1825-62. Assayer FS is recorded this mint for the years 1821 and 1825-35. Other mints include Guanajuato, Mexico City, Alamos, Hermosillo, Zacatecas, Culiacan, Chihuahua, Durango, Potosi, Estado de Mexico, Real de Catorce and Guadalupe y Calvo. Only Oaxaca did not strike this type. This type, legal tender in the pre Civil War United States for a quarter, is common except in uncirculated. This is a better date of a less common mint.
