This specimen was lot 22291 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $382. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1825-DoRL. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder. A lustrous and toned example of this first year of issue." The Durango mint struck eight reales 1824-95 and this early date is scarce.
