Sincona sale 85, lot 1230

This specimen was lot 1230 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$471 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1327-1344 AH (1909-1925). 2000 Dinars 1332 AH (1913/1914 AD), Tehran Mint. Bust type. NGC MS63. Magnificent condition. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 269."

This type was struck AH 1331-1344. This denomination was also struck in gold (KM 1070).

Recorded mintage: 12,926,000.

Specification: 9.21 g, 0.900 fine silver, this specimen is 0.60 g.
