Sincona sale 85, lot 1201

This specimen was lot 1201 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$2,020 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1327-1344 AH (1909-1925). 1 Toman 1331 AH (1912/1913 AD), Tehran Mint. Bust type. Struck with 2 Toman reverse die. Very rare. NGC MS63+. Magnificent condition. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 236. Finest certified by NGC."

This type was struck AH 1331-1333.

Specification: 2.87 g, 0.900 fine gold, this specimen is 2.86 g.
