Sincona sale 85, lot 1221

This specimen was lot 1221 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$1,077 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1327-1344 AH (1909-1925). 1/5 Toman 1333 AH (1914/1915 AD), Tehran Mint. Bust type. KM 1070. Fr-86. NGC MS64. Magnificent condition. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 215. Finest certified by NGC."

This type was struck AH 1332-43. This denomination was also struck in silver (KM 1057).

Specification: 0.57 g, 0.900 fine gold, 14 mm diameter, this specimen 0.50 g.
