This specimen was lot 2338 in Goldberg sale 100 (Los Angeles, September 2017), where it sold for $353. The catalog description[1] noted, "Iran. 5000 Dinars (½ Dinars), AH1314. Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1896-1907. Scarce. Very Fine." The SCWC lists this scarce type for AH 1314-1315. One thousand dinars made a kran and ten kran made a toman. The largest silver coin was the five krans.
