Sincona sale 67, lot 4193

This specimen was lot 4193 in Sincona sale 67 (Zürich, October 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN | Qajar Dynasty | Nâsir al-dîn Shâh, 1264-1313 H./1848-1896 AD, Machine struck coinage, always with the mint name Tihrân, silver coins. 2000 Dinars (2 Qiran) 1314 H. Variety without crown above wreath in obv. Very fine with some marks of adjustment."

This type was struck AH 1313-14 along with KM-974, which had crowns on both sides. The KM 974 is common, this type is scarce.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 9.21 g, 0.900 fine silver, this specimen 9.12 g.
