This specimen was lot 1112 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1313-1324 AH (1896-1907). 1/2 Toman n. d. (1313-1324 AH / 1895-1906 AD), Tehran Mint. Saheb al-Zaman. Very rare. NGC MS62. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 121. Bought from Spink & Son, London 1986. Finest certified by NGC."
This undated type is the only issue of this denomination with the portrait of Muzaffar al-Din. It accompanied gold one, five and ten toman. A half toman with a lion obverse (KM 987) also exists.
