Sincona sale 101, lot 2886

This specimen was lot 2886 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN Qajar Dynasty, Nasir al-Din Shah, 1264-1313 AH (1848-1896). 2000 Dinars (1/5 Toman) n. d. (1901), Tehran Mint. NGC MS62. Das durch PCGS höchstbewertete Exemplar, Finest certified by PCGS."

The SCWC mentions this type dated 1319 and 1323 but does not note any undated examples. We'll take the auctioneer's word that it was made in 1901.

Specification: 0.57 g, 0.900 fine gold.
