This specimen was lot 1128 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 3,600 CHF (about US$4,848 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1313-1324 AH (1896-1907). 250 Dinars 1319 AH (1901/1902 AD), Tehran Mint. Bust type. Extremely rare. NGC MS62. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 144. Bought from S. Cordry, San Diego, 1983. Finest certified by NGC. "
The SCWC lists a quarter kran or 250 dinars with a lion obverse for AH 1314-1319 (KM 968) but none with a bust obverse.
