This specimen was lot 1044 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Nasir al-Din Shah, 1264-1313 AH (1848-1896). 2000 Dinars 1313 AH (1895 AD), Tehran Mint. Zolgharnein type. Extremely rare. NGC UNC Details. Slightly polished. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 79. Bought from Dr. A. Shams-Aram, London, 1985."
This type was struck AH 1313 only. This denomination was occasionally struck in gold.
