This specimen was lot 56645 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 5000 Dinars (1/2 Toman), AH 1313 (1895). Tehran Mint. Nasir al-Din Shah. PCGS MS-61." This tiny gold coin was struck AH 1297-1307 and 1313; this denomination was also struck in silver.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.43 g, 0.900 fine gold, 17 mm diameter.
