This specimen was lot 1307 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Nasir al-Din Shah, 1848-1896, AV toman, AH1313//1310, dated 1313 on the obverse, 1310 at the bottom of the central area on the reverse, probably once in jewelry or a bezel, VF, R." This dual dated variety was issued in AH 1313 only. The regular toman (KM 933) was struck AH 1297-1313. A silver toman (KM 919, KM 920) also exists.
Recorded Mintage: unknown.
Specification: 2.87 g, 0.900 fine gold, this specimen 2.82 g.
