Stephen Album sale 50, lot 3378

This specimen was lot 3378 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "CUBA: Republic, AR 10 pesos, 2000, First International Economists Meeting 1999 - Globalization, mintage of only 200 pieces, Proof, R." This denomination was also used for KM 678, 679, 680, 681, 682, 683, 684, 685, 686, 687, 688, 689, 690, 691, 735, 756, 758, 759, 760 and KM 761. Note the word "globalizacion" is tinted blue--Cuba was one of the first countries to experiment with colorized coins.

Specification: 20 g, 0.999 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
