This specimen was lot 1034 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "CUBA, Havana mint, proof error 10 pesos, 1997, Traditional Cuban Dance - rumba, nine medallions on reverse, extremely rare. Ultra Cameo Proof with no marks that we can see and only the tiniest of flaws, an error strike showing nine medallions on reverse instead of twelve arms (as adopted) for the twelve Latin American countries that participated in this mintage series (Ibero-American Series III - Dances and Traditions), estimated mintage of just eight coins with this error." Other ten pesos for 1997 include KM 590, 591, 592, 593, 594, 595, 596, 597, 598, 599, 600, 601, 602, 603, 604, 609, 613, 624, 635, 650a, 667, 747, 748, 750, 927, 928, 931, 932 and 944.

Recorded mintage: 6,000 struck in Havana.

Specification: 27 g, 0.925 fine silver, this specimen 27.30 grams.
