This specimen was lot 50137 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $3,000. The catalog description[1] noted, "CUBA. 100 Pesos, 1997. Havana Mint. PCGS PROOF-68 Deep Cameo Gold Shield. Struck in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Ernesto "Che" Guevara. A carefully preserved example of the SCARCE proof issue with a dusting of toning "frost" visible on both sides. From the Pinnacle Collection."
