This specimen was lot 41301 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. Taler, 1750-IBH. Zellerfeld Mint. Karl I. PCGS AU-58. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck for many years 1735-75 but is scarce. The thalers of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel fill the pages of Davenport but few are affordable.
