Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg 1690 pfennig
This specimen was part of lot 5660 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), which sold for €360 (about US$501 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, FÜRSTENTUM, Ernst August, 1679-1698, seit 1662 Bischof von Osnabrück. Einseitiger Pfennig (Schüsselpfennig) ...1690, Clausthal. 2 Stück., Vorzüglich und vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Aus der Sammlung eines Ingenieurs. ...Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 32, Osnabrück 1996, Nr. 3692. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg, Ernest Augustus, 1679-98, bishop of Osnabrück since 1662, uniface pfennig of 1690, Clausthal mint. [One of] two pieces, extremely fine.)"
